We are now all huddled down in our homes either because we are working from home or we are in our homes because that is the right thing to do. No direct contact with people who we use to socialize with on a regular basis, friends, family and customers.
Like you I am very concerned about my customers and how you are doing. So, my questions is: What are you doing to stay in touch with your employees and your coustomers. I would like to know. Email me [email protected] or call me 775-883-9428. We know it is important to do something to keep these important relationships going strong and maybe in this new time, strengthening them. For me, selling a promotional item is not the most important thing, it is finding out if there is something I can do to help people connect and resolve any issues. This does sound self serving as I make a living selling promotional items. But I know they work if used correctly. People will remember who reached out to them and how they made their lives better. Businesses are trying to do two things at once. Support their employees during this time by showing they are all on the same team. And staying connected with their customers and seeing how they can help them. I am deluged with emails from my suppliers sharing with me all sorts of ideas to help people connect. Some good, some not so good. I liked the idea of a movie night for the family, sending people tubs of popcorn. Or tools people need to work at home like a wireless cell phone charger stand. This is in addition to suppliers letting me know who has sanitizers, masks, and other products to help people stay safe. How can I help you? Let me know. I need help in connecting with businesses that are searching for creative ideas on how to keep lines of communications open and to show they care. If I can help them with their messages, feel free to pass on my name. Be Safe.

The coronavirus is here. Everyone is taking the appropriate precautions. The spreading of the virus needs to be stopped. We are not able to meet directly with our clients to continue the development of business relationships and to prospect for new clients. Obviously we cannot continue the process of personally knocking on doors, sales calls, trade shows, networking, etc. to conduct needed business
HOWEVER, business cannot stop. As business people we need to still convey our brand, our message, to customers and prospects. The question is how do we do it This is the time we need to think outside of the box. How are we going to effectively conduct the business of communicating our products and services to our customers since we can't meet them face to face. We want to be upbeat. Convey that we care about them. Provide a service they can use. Let people know we are open for business and how we can serve them. Some examples.... Conferences, trade shows, seminars, sales meetings were canceled. There was a budget for these events, the funds can now be used in a creative way to stay in touch with these important people. Send out sunglasses saying see you next year or in 6 months. Send out sanitizer spray with the message together we will beat this. How about a survival kit. The kit could include, tissues, hand sanitizer, microfiber cloth and a piece of chocolate or other candy. Inside could be information on ways to help your client. Direct mail is a great option. Send customers and prospects a survival kit. Inside could be maybe some items above, a game, a coupon, etc. Have some fun, create conversation. What I am getting at here is continuing to develop your relationships with your clients and develop new ones. Don't let them fall away, or let them think you are not thinking of them. Promotional items are personal, people like receiving them. Put a smile on your clients faces. Think of the surprise reaction when they receive your information. People remember where they got the promotional item, let them remember you during this period. There are more ideas to keep business flowing and operating and communicating with your important customers. Let's work together to make this happen. For more ideas, call me, Peter Fishburn, 775-883-9428, [email protected] Have you ever asked yourself the question: Do my customers like the way I advertise towards them? Every organization does some form of advertising. They have to if a business / organization wants to succeed. Social Media, newspapers, radio, TV, direct mail, telemarketing, billboards, are some of the options that are available to choose to tell their audience what they do. All of these are effective when used properly., The questions here is: What form of advertising does your audience prefer to receive if they had a choice. Why is this important? If a company is going to spend its advertising dollars on advertising to its target audience, they want to be assured that the message is delivered in a manner that is most receptive by that audience. What this means is, they are more likely to read it, understand the message and respond in the most positive manner that benefits the advertiser. In a survey, consumers responded to the following question: I would rather receive a promotional product than........ 83% receive a telemarketing call. 78% receive a promotional email. 77% receive promotional mail 76% watch an ad before or during a video. 75% see a banner or pop up ad while browsing the web. 74% watch a 30 second TV commercial. 74% see sponsored posts or advertising in my social media feed. 73% listen to a 30 second radio commercial 67% see ads while reading or flipping through a print magazine. One common thread with all of the statements listed above is the advertising is placed / inserted in front of the individual and not by their choice. They are irritated by the interruption of the activity they were participating in to see the message the advertiser wants them to see. Promotional items is the only medium where people say "Thank You" for receiving the advertising that is placed in their hands. No one says thank you to all of the advertising listed above. Mentioned in a previous post, recipients have a greater likelihood to do business with the company who gave them a promotional item and have a higher regard for that business as well. Get in touch with a professional who knows how to deliver promotional products creatively and effectively to your target audience. Just like all of the above forms of advertising, there is a right way to use promotional products. Give me a call if you want some ideas on how to use promotional items in your advertising/branding efforts.. Peter Fishburn. [email protected] |
